The Virgen de San Juan de Los Lagos is a patron saint of healing and miracles venerated in 1904 by the Catholic church. The site located in the Mexico state of Jalisco hosts the feast day on February 2 attended by millions paying homage to Mother Mary for healing of themselves or a loved one from sickness or serious surgery by fulfilling a promise to make a pilgrimage to the Virgen on, or around, this feast day. In addition, the National Shrine of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle in San Juan, Texas serves for migrant farmworkers who still travel through this area of Texas; however, it has become an important destination for many people to fulfill penitent promises.
