The only love bond greater than God's love for us is that between mother/grandmother and child. This candle may be used alone or with a three-candle set-up to guide a wayward child back to family values, or simply to express gratitude for the gift of a child. As the Good Shepherd, God uses mothers and grandmothers to express this earthly love with their children as it is impossible to break the bond when it is true and strong.
