DUME is an intense spiritual candle traditionally used when a situation has become severe, hostile, or impossible to resolve by ordinary means. It is intended for work involving enemies, serious conflict, harmful interference, or people whose actions need to be stopped, diverted, or turned away from you.
This candle is not used lightly. DUME is chosen when gentler work has failed and the goal is to shift the pressure away from yourself by placing the burden, confusion, disruption, or difficulty back onto the person causing harm. Its purpose is not casual revenge, but forceful spiritual defense when someone’s actions have become destructive, persistent, or dangerous to your peace.
Burn this candle when you need an enemy’s attention, energy, or influence pulled away from your life, home, business, relationship, or path forward. Focus clearly on separation from the problem, removal of the threat, and the ending of their ability to trouble you.
Because DUME is considered very strong work, it should be approached with caution, seriousness, and protection. A white protection candle may be burned alongside it for yourself while keeping your intention focused on safety, distance, and release from the person or condition causing harm.
