Saint Peregrine is powerful help in healing, especially the sickness of cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
Also known as Saint Peregrine Laziosi, he was a penitent friar in 12th century Italy. In his later life, Peregrine developed a severe infection in his leg and was scheduled to have the leg amputated. The night before the surgery, Peregrine prayed and during a deep trance has a vision of Jesus descending from the crucifix to touch Peregrine's infected leg. In the morning, all traces of the infection had vanished.
Saint Peregrine's Feast Day is May 1st.
